CritterTwitter: What
are we doing today?
Our Georgia climate, with our hot summers and relatively mild winters, makes an ideal environment for all sorts of crawling critters. In the past, many Georgia exterminators relied on heavy applications of pesticides to keep pests at bay. Nowadays, most homeowners prefer more environmentally-responsible pest control programs that utilize non-chemical methods whenever possible, and use pesticides sparingly and only when needed.
Rid-A-Critter believes that effective and environmentally responsible pest control begins with non-chemical measures, such as correcting conditions that are conducive to pest infestations. Our residential pest control plans are built on the same earth-friendly philosophy that guides all of our work.
During our initial visit and on an ongoing basis, we make note of conducive conditions that should be addressed, and consult with the homeowner about the best available options to correct these problems. Non-chemical measures are suggested whenever practical, and pesticides applied only as needed. This green pest control approach maximizes effectiveness while minimizing the need for pesticide applications.
For most homeowners, quarterly pest control plans make the most sense. Each season brings its own set of pest problems, and quarterly service plans allow pest control technicians to inspect for and address these potential pest problems along the natural, season cycle. Quarterly service also is more economical as it avoids the need for unnecessary service calls, and your home will still be warranted against infestations of covered pests that may arise between quarterly visits.
In addition, many homeowners now prefer to limit routine quarterly treatments to the exteriors of their homes, and we encourage this practice. Routine exterior treatment provides an excellent level of protection against the most common household pests, while eliminating unnecessary pesticide applications inside the home. (Of course, if interior treatment is needed, it will be provided at no additional charge.)
Our standard residential pest control plan is a quarterly program that protects your home against most common household pests, including:
Green spider control being performed on the exterior of a home in Villa Rica, Georgia For some pest problems, such as spider control and German cockroach control, monthly service is required for effective treatment. Some homes also need monthly service because of factors such as their location, peculiar designs, intensity of infestation, or homeowner preference. In many cases, homes that initially are placed on monthly service status may be converted to quarterly once the initial infestation has been addressed.
We also offer customized pest control solutions to address unusual pest problems or to accommodate customers' special needs or preferences. Some examples include special schedules such as part-year plans for vacation homes that are only used seasonally, plans for the control only a specific pest (such as mice or carpenter bees), and strict IPM or "inspection-only" plans that avoid all use of pesticides except when needed and with the customer's specific consent.
