Nowadays, we've learned how to practice more environmentally friendly, "green" pest control. These newer methods utilize non-chemical, "organic" pest control methods whenever possible, and use pesticides sparingly and only when needed. This approach not only minimizes pesticide use; it results in more effective treatment and longer-lasting results.

Rid-A-Critter is a family-owned business specializing in providing environmentally-responsible integrated pest management (IPM) solutions to homeowners and businesses in Atlanta throughout Northern and Central Georgia. Building on our years of experience as Georgia's most progressive and successful animal control company, we believe that pest control can be both effective and earth-friendly; and we approach every job we do with the dual goals of maximizing effectiveness while minimizing pesticide use.

Whenever possible, we try to employ an organic approach to pest control, using as little pesticide as possible (or none at all). We emphasize inspection, sanitation, habitat modification, and exclusion as our primary pest control tools. When pesticides are needed, we select the most environmentally-friendly products available, trying whenever possible to use products that are naturally-derived, and use only as much as is necessary to achieve control.

Our Pest Control Philosophy

Although every job is different, in general, our approach to environmentally responsible pest control emphasizes the following steps:

• The property is inspected for pests and conducive conditions, and the results shared with the customer.
• Conducive conditions are corrected to the maximum extent practical.
• Non-chemical measures such as exclusion, sealing, and trapping are employed to rapidly reduce pest populations and help keep pests from returning.
• When necessary, judicious applications of insecticides or rodenticides may be used.
