Most rain gutter guards are made of cheap vinyl or galvanized steel screen, and are simply ineffective at keeping leaves and debris out of gutters. As a result, the gutters clog, and rainwater flood the gutters and spill over the sides rather than into the downspout. This increases the risk of serious water damage to the roof and parts of the home that are exposed to water. The LeafProof^® Gutter Protection System is built around a patented, solid, .024-gauge aluminum gutter cover that's part of a unique system that can handle rainfall as heavy as 11 inches per hour, which is the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in the United States. But LeafProof's^® patented "S" bend design and ChannelGuard technology prevent leaves and other debris from clogging the gutter. In addition, because LeafProof^® is made of aluminum, not vinyl, squirrels and other animals won't chew through it to gain access to roofs.

LeafProof® fits over existing gutters (provided that they are in good shape; otherwise your rain gutters will need to be repaired or replaced) and is installed under the first row of shingles for a more attractive appearance. In addition, it doesn't need to be screwed into your roof or fascia, and it can be easily cleaned from the ground.
