Most rain gutter guards are made of cheap vinyl or galvanized steel screen, and are simply ineffective at keeping leaves and debris out of gutters. As a result, the gutters clog, and rainwater flood the gutters and spill over the sides rather than into the downspout. The LeafProof^® Gutter Protection System is built around a patented, solid, .024-gauge aluminum gutter cover that's part of a unique system that can handle rainfall as heavy as 11 inches per hour, which is the heaviest rainfall ever recorded in the United States. But LeafProof's^® patented "S" bend design and ChannelGuard technology prevent leaves and other debris from clogging the gutter. In addition, because LeafProof^® is made of aluminum, not vinyl, squirrels and other animals won't chew through it to gain access to roofs.

LeafProof® fits over existing gutters (provided that they are in good shape; otherwise your rain gutters will need to be repaired or replaced) and is installed under the first row of shingles for a more attractive appearance. In addition, it doesn't need to be screwed into your roof or fascia, and it can be easily cleaned from the ground.
