We're Georgia's leader in humane bird control. We have the skill, the know-how, and the tools to handle any bird control job -- no matter how big or how small. We also have the equipment, staff, and resources to bird-proof any building, ranging from private homes, to the steeples of historic churches, to huge power generating facilities. We've bird-proofed some of the biggest buildings in Georgia. But we do small bird control jobs, too; and we treat every job with the same level of care and professionalism. All of our clients are VIP's, and we insist on the same standards of excellence on ever job we do.
Pest Birds of GeorgiaThere are three species of birds that are considered pest birds in Georgia: pigeons (shown on the right), sparrows, and starlings. These three species account for the bulk of bird control in Atlanta and other urban areas of Georgia: None of these birds are believed to be native to Georgia (nor even to North America, for that matter). But all three species have adapted to living in close association with humans. In particular, pigeons, sparrows, and starlings thrive in urban areas like Atlanta, Athens, Duluth, Macon, Marietta, Roswell, and other rapidly-growing Georgia communities.
When do Birds become Pests?Birds become pests when they create a physical or health hazard or when they damage or deface property. Some ways in which this happens are:
Other Nuisance BirdsIn addition to the three species officially considered "pests," there are some other birds, such as woodpeckers and blue jays, that aren't technically considered "pest birds " but which may be excluded using humane, non-lethal means that do not injure them.
Bird Extermination vs. Comprehensive Bird Control
There are many "bird exterminators" who use chemical poisons to kill or repel birds. Some of these products are lethal toxicants that kill birds, while others make the birds sick in the hope that they will fly away elsewhere. In addition to the risks from chemicals, bird control achieved using chemical bird extermination simply isn't very effective. The results are temporary, at best. Sooner or later, new birds will replace the ones that were exterminated. Our bird control program is different. Unlike chemical bird control programs typically offered by Georgia bird exterminators, our non-chemical bird control methods provide lasting control. In addition, our methods won't result in birds dropping dead in mid-air and falling out of the sky. Our earth-friendly bird control approach includes:
Bird Mess CleanupOur bird control service also includes cleaning up after the birds once they are removed. We clean up bird droppings, feathers and the rest of the mess the birds created in order to eliminate the health hazards that these bird by-products present to humans, domestic animals, and wildlife. Bird droppings contain microorganisms that can cause serious diseases like histoplasmosis and cryptococcosis. Here are some pictures of bird control jobs we've done in Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
